Your interview material stays on your computer. We keep only what we need to run your account, and we never sell data or show ads.

Who we are

PrepAI is run by [Business or legal name], [Registered address, city, state, PIN] ("we", "us"). For anything about your data, write to [email protected].

What stays on your computer

• Your sessions, transcripts, resumes, job descriptions, stories and project notes.
• Your AI provider keys, kept in the macOS Keychain or the Windows credential store. We never see them.
• The sound of your calls. Speech is turned into text on your computer, unless you choose a cloud speech engine.

What we collect

• Early access. The email address you enter on this website, and whether you chose Mac or Windows, to send you one download link when your build is ready. It is stored with Cloudflare, which hosts this site. To stop a flood of fake sign-ups we also keep a scrambled code made from your IP address that changes daily; the address itself is not stored.
• Your account. When you sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile photo, your plan and the free minutes you have used. This is stored with Google Firebase.
• Payments. Payments are handled by Razorpay. We receive the order number, amount and whether the payment succeeded. We never receive your card, UPI or bank details.
• The shared question bank. If "Contribute questions" is on in Settings › Privacy, the interviewer's questions from a session are rewritten without names and added to the shared bank with the company name. You can turn this off at any time.
• This website. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and stop attacks. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which also receives your IP address. We use no tracking cookies; the site only remembers in your browser whether you chose Mac or Windows.

Services you choose

PrepAI talks to AI and speech services with the keys you add. When it writes an outline, the question and the context you set up for that session (for example your resume and the job description) go straight from your computer to that provider, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or Groq. If you pick a cloud speech engine (OpenAI or Deepgram), the audio it transcribes goes to that service. Their own privacy policies apply to what they receive.

How long we keep it

• Early-access emails: until [12 months] after launch, or until you ask us to delete yours.
• Account data: while your account is open, and deleted within [30 days] of a deletion request.
• Payment records: as long as Indian tax law requires.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw your consent. Write to [email protected] and we will reply within [30 days].

Children

PrepAI is meant for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Security

This site is served only over HTTPS. Account data is stored with Google Firebase and protected by its access rules; payment details never reach us. No system is perfectly secure, so if you see a problem please tell us at [email protected].

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top. If the change matters for how your data is used, we will also tell you by email or in the app.
